Craig Best of Crabby Charters brings anglers up to 50 miles offshore, deep into federal waters, to offer the best chance at bringing home a full box of snapper. While snapper are not known for their strength, they are famed the world over for their incredible taste.

The waters near Cape Coral and Ft. Myers are primarily home to lane, mangrove and vermillion snapper. Red snapper are not uncommon but have a unique open season which makes bagging one a rarity. All species of snapper are absolutely delicious, and fish cleaning from Capt. Craig is included in all charters.

Florida Gulf Coast Snapper Fishing Regulations

The state of Florida uses an aggregate bag limit of ten snapper per person, meaning guests can bring home up to ten snapper of any species unless otherwise specified. Capt. Craig travels past the nine mile marker of state waters, taking guests deep into federal waters which have their own regulations. Federal waters have a reef fish aggregate which contains the snapper aggregate.
